I was wondering what opinions are on mid-sentence sourcing. To illustrate this point I have created the articles Slave and Servant. The latter does not use mid-sentence sourcing whereas the former does. Do we need a definitive policy on this or does anything go? Thanks--Skittles the hog--Talk 14:31, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

I've always taken mid-sentence sourcing to be for times when two different things from different episodes. For example; The Face of Boe witnessed the expansion of the sun (TV The End of the World) before travelling to New Earth. (TV: New Earth) That's the kind of thing I would expect mid sentencing in. At parts where the titles of the sources would not actually specify where each piece of information came from. --The Thirteenth Doctor 15:07, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

I agre with The Thirteenth Doctor. Mid-sentence sourcing is for pointing to specific sources for that bit of information. Or a paragraph can mention several things that cover a wide range sources, in that case it'd be at the end. --Tangerineduel / talk 15:21, January 22, 2011 (UTC)
