Can we agree that when articles are given the proposed deletions tag they must have an explanation on the discussion page, however brief, apart from the very obvious acts of vandalism, for example the page Robot Class has been proposed for deletion but no reason is given. Sure it needs a cleanup but I'm not sure if deletions been proposed because of the quality of the article or because of the article's topic. It would be helpful if people could do this when proposing deletions. Thanks :). GingerM 21:50, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes, and when anyone is placing a prop delete tag, please do not remove all of the other content that was on the page, many times it would be good to know without having to go that extra step to look back through the history to see what the page was. --Tangerineduel 13:37, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

But shouldnt you delte it if it was vandalism to prevent offence?--Skittles the hog 18:10, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Sure, delete vandalism and add the delete template and just make sure a comment is left on the talk page to let people know why it's proposed deleted to make it easier and simpler when it comes to deleting it. However there's no need to blank pages that aren't needed and should be deleted but aren't vandalism, and it makes it easier if we can see the page that people want to delete without having to look through the history.--GingerM 15:50, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
