Hello, I'm pretty new here, but I'm not new to wiki's, and have been editing on other wikia wiki's and wikipedia for over a year now. I noticed that here we seem to source comments in-line like so: "he had his hand cut off while in a sword fight (TV: The Christmas Invasion)", I think a better way would be like so:

"he had his hand cut off while in a sword fight [1]"

And then at the bottom of the page:

That way it is more visually appealing, and users can see all the sentence's sourced to each episode at the bottom of each page. Opinions? If you have any additional questions about how referencing works just ask (and I can try my best to answer) Thanks — RC-1136 Hate Mail Here 19:10, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

A bot could be written to do it I guess — RC-1136 Hate Mail Here 19:33, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
I actually have no objection to your suggestion. I like the current system, but your idea could work. --Stardizzy2 22:00, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Here's an idea of what it would look like: User:RC-1136/workdeskRC-1136 Hate Mail Here 07:23, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Archivist's notes[[edit source]]

This is at least the second thread where the Wookieepedia style of footnoted citation was proposed to no avail. We've long confirmed that we prefer the Memory Alpha variant, where the story name is inline.
