From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Proposed format[[edit source]]

  • Title
  • Length of episodes
  • Number of episodes
  • First episode airdate
  • Last (or last to date) episode airdate
  • List of episodes
  • Regular cast
All the articles listed provide information and are written in an encyclopaedic format. I'm not sure a template would sit within the article very well. (Additionally not sure what the website is meant to explain, aside from there being a doco called 'The Planet of the Doctor'). From the list of requests it seems a table would be more useful than a template. --Tangerineduel 14:51, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
the URL (which I deleted) has no significance. I only cut and pasted wrong. the Star Trek Wiki has this. maybe useful for "at a glance" information so that the main article doesn't have to repeat the info. it also looks slicker and cleaner. --Stardizzy2 15:42, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Memory Alpha (the Star Trek wiki) has a rather sparse format, which doesn't really apply to this wiki. From the main star trek article it splits off to the various spin-offs, which are all more or less lists of the episodes. The main Doctor Who article could perhaps have some more pages linking off it, but I'm not sure about changing its (interesting and easily read) format down to a table and list. Pages such as Torchwood Declassified, DW Confidential could maybe be orgranised into tables detailing what you've outlined above, maybe with each episode having its own page. But the purpose of the DW, SJA and Torchwood main articles is to provide an overview and detailed information and then to link off to the series specific pages. --Tangerineduel 16:05, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
