Forum:Should the TARDIS article be split up?
I actually think that the Doctor's TARDIS page should be split into different articles, the same way the Doctor is. The page, although not as long as the Doctor's page would be if all incarnations were on it, will only increase in size and I think that it would be better to split it up just now, rather than later when it is much larger.
I've brought this up now as the new adventure game is based inside the TARDIS, so there will be a lot more information, pictures etc about it. In the same way that each Doctor has different personalities, clothes etc, the TARDIS is also different, and I just think it would be best for each version to be split up.
The article would most probably end up in the same manner as the Doctor article is, with basic facts about it, then each individual version having individual informations. --The Thirteenth Doctor 19:06, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe.
- Some articles such as the Edifice have already spawned away from the current article.
- However, the current article is a good, detailed article. It's long, but only in comparison to many of our other in-universe articles which aren't long. The article is in some need of a good edit through to remove some of the more wordy recent additions and to fill out some of the more early stuff.
- At the moment the article is a really good article of a good length that provides interesting useful information.
- Some things like the Doctor's TARDIS key could be shifted into the TARDIS key article where there is already a duplicate of some information, or moved into a separate article. On this front the key is separate from the TARDIS, being a separate object, just as various components of the TARDIS have separate articles.
- I don't think the solution is to have an article for every version of the TARDIS, it would leave the article being quite fragmentary, with the separate versions likely to become somewhat bloated with lengthy descriptions of ever facet of encounters with the interiors. --Tangerineduel 15:43, August 21, 2010 (UTC)
