Although [[John and Gillian]] have regularily always been seen together, I don't see why they should to be in one article together. There have been heaps of other characters that have only been seen together with another however they've articles seperate. So as you can see, I do believe John and Gillian should have their own articles. --Victory93 06:38, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

I can understand the basis of your question. On the face of it, one could very well question why we'd put these two characters together, but wouldn't dream of doing it with any other couple. But the truth is that these characters are always depicted together, save for one COMIC "appearance" (Beware the Trods!) that's really just a letter from John. It's a waste of time, I think, to have a separate article. The same things happened to both characters, and the comic scripts are so simplistic, it's really hard to discern a difference between the two characters. What few distinguishing characteristics there are (such as the fact that John is a galaxy-class runner) can go into a combined article quite easily. So I don't support the splitting of this article at all. Why type [[John]] and [[Gillian]] when you can save keystrokes, and achieve the same ends with [[John and Gillian]]?
