Opinions[[edit source]]

I favor this for the following reasons.

1. several video releases (The Beginning and Lost in Time) have their own articles already and recent television stories (Tennant, Eccelston, Torchwood) will never have independent video releases, they will get bundled with their season sets.

2. if we include all the extras for certain DVD's, that could lead to some cumbersomely long articles. we have few long articles now, but once we get more comphrehensive articles I wouldn't want some of them to take ages to load. especially, as, in the case of The Brain of Morbius, you will have two separate UK VHS releases (edited and un-edited), the DVD release (which hasn't come out yet AFAIK but should at some point) with all its extras --***Stardizzy*** 21:29, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

I agree - do you mean an article like "The Brain of Morbius - VHS and DVD releases"? That would work well. ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 07:28, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
yeah, either something like "name of story (video releases)" or individual articles like "name of story (DVD)" and "name of story (VHS)". --***Stardizzy*** 16:41, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I agree. ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 18:50, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Archiver's note[[edit source]]

Although this discussion appears to come to a positive conclusion, this never quite made it to widespread implementation. As a result, this is considered an out-of-date policy which no longer obtains on the wiki. It doesn't ever seem to have been written in the Manual of Style, which may be one of the reasons it never took off.
