Forum:Stunt Arranger or Fight Arranger?
Which of these is more correct? Stunt Arranger redirects to Fight Arranger, however many of the people's articles state that they were stuntmen or in some cases stuntmen/fight arranger on various stories. Is it the same thing? --Tangerineduel 13:34, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
- As far as I can tell, it's relatively the same thing. "Fight choreographer" would also work. Trak Nar Ramble on 04:53, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- I'll put them in Category:Doctor Who stunt arrangers as it's more of an umbrella term for both and covers all bases. --Tangerineduel 11:54, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Archivist's notes[[edit source]]
By way of update, categorisation of stunt workers has moved on a bit since this discussion. Currently, we have the following categories in category:Doctor Who stunt department:
- Category:Doctor Who stunt arrangers
- Category:Doctor Who stunt performers
- Category:Doctor Who stunt co-ordinators
- Category:Doctor Who wire supervisors
Stunt arrangers are now deemed to be those people like Peter Diamond, who were in charge of stunts on the 1963 version of DW. Stunt co-ordinators are people like Crispin Layfield, who work for BBC Wales. Still, the basic point of this thread, that fight arrangers and stunt arrangers be in the same category, remains in effect.
