Forum:Sycorax's planet of origin?
Although not stated in the The Christmas Invasion, there appears to be some conflicting sources over the Sycorax's planet of origin. Although most refernce material states their world of origin as unknown, there are other official material which states either one of two. Couple sources such as Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia and Doctor Who Files 4: The Sycorax states their home planet to be called 'Sycorax' with the latter including an illustration. Other sources I've found state their origin world is 'Fire Trap'. Currently right now the wiki directs Fire Trap to Sycorax spaceship, however the Encyclopedia states that the name of their home planet in Sycoraxic is 'Fire Trap'.
Although the wiki's policy states that we can't create articles based on information from reference material, official or not, could we try to include somewhere, supposably on the Sycorax article, some clarrification about their home planet? --Victory93 talk to me 04:07, December 15, 2011 (UTC)

No one "bit" on this thread, perhaps because it was started in the wrong forum. It should have been a reference desk archive, but was instead filed in the Panopticon. I'm therefore archiving to reference desk. The actual answer to the substantive question is that info from REF materials can only be included in BTS sections. If the only source of info is REF material, then the article cannot be started at all.
