All right, looking over the bits of evidence I can glean from around the internets, I have determined the following things:

1. According to the casting info available, Terrance Hardiman's character will be in episode 2, The Beast Below.

2. Terrance Hardiman was seen filming in a monk's robe with a small medallion around his neck, looks vaguely inappropriate.

3. In the trailer for series 5, there is a still image of three monk-ish individuals standing in front of a Magpie Electricals sign, all wearing the same medallion Hardiman was wearing during shooting. Therefore we can assume that Magpie Electricals will play at least a name-drop role in episode 2.

4. Although I have nothing but circumstantial evidence to back this up, I suspect that the green plastic frowny-face monster will be in episode 2. My reasons? Again, circumstantial: when the trailer aired, the entire series was not filmed, let alone any CG work done. Therefore, we can assume that Captain Frowny is from the first half of the season. The current first half run we are assuming is the now-named first three episodes, followed by the Weeping Angel 2-parter and the Vampire story. Now, after this there is supposedly a circus story, which might be Captain Frowny's actual place, but I'm not willing to make that assumption yet. My final bit of circumstance is that the monster for episode 1 is described as a "face tendril," and Captain Frowny does NOT look tendrilly to me.
