Here in the stats, I don't seem to be able to watch the Series 5 episodes on BBC.com. Does anyone know why these aren't available here? Sorryaboutthatchief 23:04, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

Because the BBC iPlayer is "geolocked" - it will only allow users with UK IP addresses to view episodes. The logic behind this is that UK viewers have paid their licence fee, thus they've paid for access. You'll have to watch them on SciFi, BBC America, or PBS. SciFi inserts commercials and has been known to edit episodes for time, though. Monkey with a Gun 01:31, May 28, 2010 (UTC)
There is no legal way to watch DW (or SJA or TW) online in the US.
BBC America has the current seasons of all 3 shows. But they don't show full episodes on their website (http://bbcamerica.com) and only show about half the extra clips that http://bbc.co.uk shows (although they did recently start including Confidential, at least). They're also generally at least 2 weeks behind the UK. And, unless you're lucky enough to live in a BBC On Demand region, they still insert commercials and edit the episodes for time (although not as badly as SyFy did).
Before BBCA, the show was on SyFy (most of the RTD era), Fox (the TV movie), and PBS (the classic show). But none of them have anything online.
Of course it's against the law to get around the BBC's geo-locking, and even more against the law (if a lot easier) to search for the videos on streaming, web download, or torrent sites two hours after they aired in the UK, so don't ever do that. --Falcotron 10:28, May 28, 2010 (UTC)
