I must be very dense or not paying very much attention to the plot, but I still don't understand why the Doctor must die. In The Wedding of River Song, Dorium tells the Doctor that he needs to stop running away from his death because "now [he knows] what's at stake." On the Fields of Tenzalore, at the fall of the Eleventh, when the First question that hides in open sight is asked, when the question is asked and must be answered truthfully, silence will fall.
