Francis Dashwood

Sir Francis Dashwood was Chancellor of the Exchequer during the reign of King George III in the late 18th century. The Eighth Doctor described him as "a cultured, amiable, scholarly man." Sir Francis was the head of the Hellfire Club, in which he and his friends sometimes spent weekends at Medmenham drinking.
