Frank Thornton (15 January 1921-16 March 2013[1]) appeared in the It's a Square World sketch The Doctor's New Invention.

He was best known for playing Captain Peacock on Are You Being Served? with Nicholas Smith, Trevor Bannister and Wendy Richard.
