Göttingen
From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Göttingen was a university in Germany.
It was attended by the American scientist Robert Oppenheimer before the outbreak of the Second World War. Oppenheimer studied the work of the physicists Werner Heisenberg and Wolfgang Pauli while at Göttingen and taught what he had learned at Caltech and Berkeley after returning to the US. His research got him recruited to aid in the Manhattan Project once the US entered the war. (PROSE: Atom Bomb Blues)
