The Galactic Roman Empire was an Empire in alternate Rome.
The Empire was technologically advanced by the Malevilus, and conquered the Mutter's Spiral - the Emperor was originally Adolphus Caesar, but after a revolution Vesuvius was named by the people as the new Emperor. (COMIC: Doctor Who and the Iron Legion)
