A Garaman was a creature that thrived on chaos. It was a creature made from pure written language. In 2269, it hid inside the pages of a manual for a space cargo ship nearly leading it to crash. The Eleventh Doctor was able to defeat the Garaman by using the TARDIS' translation circuits to confuse the creature's own identity enabling it to be jettisoned into space. (COMIC: By the Book)
