Gigi Trattorio was an Italian woman who was married to Bruno Trattorio, a soldier who served during the Second World War. In November 1944, Bruno wrote a short letter to Gigi, expressing his hope that the war would not keep them separated for much longer. By the end of the year 1999, Gigi was living in San Francisco, in an apartment next to Grace Holloway. (PROSE: The Novel of the Film)
