God Seeds were a form of genetic technology created by an ancient race. The seeds rode the waves of the universe like dandelion seeds, reaching planet to planet. The High Council of Gallifrey forsaw that the seeds would one day take over every planet in the universe, and carried out a universe-wide purge to prevent this future. (AUDIO: Fiesta of the Damned)
