Brother Godwin was a friar.
Originally he was a journeyman cooper. After meeting Oswald, the two became lovers. They decided to both become friars so their avoidance of woman would not be noticed. When Philip of Seaby discovered their secret, they were forced to spy for him on their brothers. Brother Thomas killed him when he saw Thomas out after hours. (PROSE: Asylum)
