A Grey Dalek who wore the distinctive light-gray casing the Renegade Daleks was present in the Dalek City on the reconstructed Skaro, where its mission was ironically to protect the Renegade Daleks' old enemy, Davros. (TV: The Magician's Apprentice/The Witch's Familiar)

- In their list of real world paradigms, The Dalek Handbook counts the Renegade Daleks and their Supreme Dalek in a "1985-1988" paradigm with their enemies, the Imperial Daleks and the prototype Necros Daleks.
