Groundhog Day
Groundhog Day was a 1994 film (PROSE: Touched by an Angel) and one of Maxwell Edison's favourites. He "must have watched it a hundred times", which he and the Fifth Doctor found rather ironic in retrospect. Maxwell brought it up as a comparison to Stockbridge, a village stuck in a time bubble and revisiting the same days every single day for 60 years. (AUDIO: The Eternal Summer)
When Ace and Hex found themselves caught in a time loop, Hex compared their situation to the one Bill Murray's character faced in Groundhog Day. (AUDIO: Protect and Survive)

- In the film Groundhog Day, the main character is caught in a time loop and forced to live the events of one particular Groundhog Day over and over again.
- The film was released in 1993 in the real world.
- The 2003 audio story Flip-Flop, which centres on two intersecting time loops, pays homage to Groundhog Day by setting the story on the planet "Puxatornee". This is an allusion to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, the town in which this film takes place.
- Cover C of Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor #3.13 is an homage to the poster for Groundhog Day.
