A guard worked at the Nunton Experimental Complex at the time Eldrad was freed on Earth. He was stationed at the main gate when Sarah Jane Smith, who was possessed by Eldrad, approached. He walked over to her, but Sarah shone Eldrad's ring at him, which knocked the guard out. He was recovering from the blast by the time the Fourth Doctor and Dr Carter arrived. (TV: The Hand of Fear)
