Guy Baker was a SOCO in Cardiff. Working alongside Kathy Swanson, he investigated the remains of five students aboard a yacht in Penarth Marina.
He greeted Jack Harkness and Ianto Jones when they stepped aboard the yacht to investigate.
Guy knew of Torchwood and the resentment surrounding the organisation within the Cardiff police. He didn't appreciate being dismissed and was emotionally detached from the victims whose murders he investigated. (PROSE: Bay of the Dead)
