Gwendoline Platt worked for the police illustrated news. Vastra admired her work. She was interested in the reappearance of Spring-heeled Jack and offered her help to Vastra. She preferred getting her story then intervening, as she didn't help Elizabeth was kidnapped. She was later abducted herself with Jenny Flint.
