Hakim Khan

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Hakim Khan was Najia Khan's husband and father to Yaz and Sonya.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Hakim was married to Najia Khan and had two daughters: Yaz and Sonya, with whom he lived in Flat 34 of the Park Hill estate in Sheffield. (TV: Arachnids in the UK) Due to his allergy to animal fur, Hakim and Najia gave her a toy rabbit called Mister Hoppy rather than a real one. (PROSE: The Secret in Vault 13) Yaz told her friends that her father drove her crazy. (TV: The Ghost Monument)

Hoping to prove something, Hakim collected the toxic waste in Sheffield during the giant spider outbreak in the city, leaving the rubbish in a pile in the living room. It was a habit that annoyed and frustrated his wife and daughters. He was pleased when Yaz brought the Thirteenth Doctor and Ryan Sinclair home for tea and offered to make pakora, which he was supposedly bad at. She left to pick up Najia from Jack Robertson's hotel, telling Hakim that she was delivering a parcel. Later, Hakim scolded Sonya for not buying bread. Whilst Yaz claimed to be going to the shops, she left to travel in the TARDIS. (TV: Arachnids in the UK)

Hakim was present at his mother-in-law Umbreen's birthday party. (TV: Demons of the Punjab) At some point, he acquired an Alexa and attempted to get it to play Rubber Soul. Instead, to his growing irritation, the device responded with directions to the nearest shoe shop. (TV: Spyfall)

Shawna Thompson knew Hakim and Najia as a "nice" family, and that their daughter had been a cop. They were still living in Sheffield by 2022, when Hakim was questioned by the police following the disappearances of Graham and Ryan. (AUDIO: Hysteria)
