Harper was a soldier in the Union Army during the American Civil War.
He was abducted by the War Lords, who failed to hypnotise him into participating in their simulated version of the war. As a member of the resistance, he helped capture von Weich.
When a SIDRAT arrived in the farmhouse he was in, one of the War Lords' guards came out of the machine and shot and killed Harper. (TV: The War Games)
