Hassan (Trace Memory)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Hassan was a twenty-six year-old Somalian dockworker at Tiger Bay, Cardiff, who died in an explosion while unloading the Facklaträfat.

One night in 1953, Hassan, along with his coworkers - Frank, Wilf and Michael - were ordered to unload a crate from the Facklaträfat with the promise of extra pay.

As the crate was being unloaded, it exploded with a flash of light and a force great enough to rock the ship towards its starboard. Hassan was blown from the dock into the side of the ship, drowning when he landed unconcious and face down in the water.

He was quiet, partly because he spoke little English and when he swore it was usually in his native Somali. Though he seemed to have an innate understanding of dirty jokes, if little else.

Aged 26, he was tall and broad across his shoulders, with dark eyes. To Michael Bellini, he was handsome and had a smile which lit up his face. (PROSE: Trace Memory)
