Hebrides

The Hebrides was a group of islands located off the coast of Scotland.

After the British government defeated the Jacobites at the Battle of Culloden in 1746, rebel leader Charles Stuart fled first to the Hebrides, pursued by the British, and eventually managed to ecape to France, never returning to Scotland again.
