Professor Henderson was the chief lecturer at a college. In an alternate timeline in which Emily Rutherford and Tom Charrington separated as teenagers, he resigned when a student committed suicide. As a result, he never worked with Professor Mirsky. When the Third Doctor encouraged Emily and Tom to stay together, the timeline was averted and Henderson didn't resign. (PROSE: Separation Day)
