Okay, the Doctor's had some serious association with the 51st century since the First Doctor. Since the reboot in 2005, these associations have only grown.

- Jack Harkness is from this timezone - River Song gets her doctorate in this timezone - River dies in this timezone

here's some speculation, or at least a strange linkage;

When we first meet Jack, he's had two years of his memory deleted, which sends him renegade. River's search for the Doctor through history could have led her to Jack, which entangles their timelines. If the Fields of Trenzalor are also encountered in this timezone(also a memorable location for Susan, now that I think about it), could Jack's memory have been erased to ensure the timeline stays intact?

Yes. Very clever of you to put it in the subjunctive. Boblipton talk to me 19:58, July 5, 2012 (UTC)
Anything's possible, but the 51st century is nothing to the Doctor compared to the 20th and 21st centuries. It would be cool to find out why Jack lost two years of his memory, but at this point I'm not sure if that's going to happen. Icecreamdif talk to me 02:31, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
