I was wondering about the eternal Dalek. Now obviously no one knows what that means not even [seemingly] Moffat. Whats very interesting though is that the eternal Dalek is the only Dalek not in the City of the Daleks game. Do you think thats significant. The fact he's not there suggest to me at least that he and the other daleks like him were off doing something wierd and very very important, while the other Daleks were off simply invading earth [I know that was a fairly important invasion]. I was wondering if he is going to be in the final, the last I read a couple of these new Daleks are going to be in the finale, but not him. Do you guys think that is significant that this mysterious Eternal Dalek is nowhere to be seen in these events whats he up to is he doing something reallybig or just on skaro having a pint. Perhaps his job it to ensure that Daleks never get wiped out again (remain Eternal) so he hides out somewhre ready to make a new set in case everything goes wrong (as usually happens). He's in anothetr part of the universe making spares. jack.

Someone did suggest I think on one of the pages that Eternal is the only Dalek that can emergency temporal shift so I guess as you said his job might be to make sure that they are eternal and can never be wiped out again, as it was all that emergency temporal shifting that got them to where they were, imagine if the cult had never made it to manhatten none of this would be happening.. He probably is just waiting around until their next big defeat. Winehousefan, 11:15, June 16, 2010 [UTC]

The job of the Eternal Dalek is to keep fans online speculating endlessly so as to red-herring viewer attention away from the actual plot. It's known as an 'Eternal annoyance' --82.23.86.207 13:05, June 17, 2010 (UTC)Ghadius

I think when the dalek is dying it can regenerate hence the name eternal
