Howling:So, what now? (Christmas 2010)
Please DO NOT add to this discussion.
"Ancient(?) Goddess escaped imprisonment from within the seventh obelisk? The Orient Express? In Space?" "Don't worry, Your Majesty. We're on our way..."
(The Doctor's last words as a prologue to the Christmas special. )
Possibly involving a descendant of the Queen, obviously a Goddess, and The Orient Express - obviously a space ship.
What do you think will happen? DoctorHer 06:57, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
Oh dear, I think the Doctor's is going to be meddling with British Royal Family members again. Who will it be this time, Liz 12? "Oh, you're the Doctor... my grandmother Liz 10 talked about stories of you being passed down the royal line..." Delton Menace 08:16, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
You know, that could be possible. Seeing as Her-Majesty-On-The-Orient-Express knew how to call the Doctor :) DoctorHer 10:58, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
- To me it sounded like the Doctor was bluffing, as in "Oh I am such a busy important person I have queens phoning me up talking about escaped ancient godesses on the space orient express all the time. Well I must be off now, you can let yourselves out, goodbye." 187.112.18.121 12:29, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
to say the moff claims this is the the most christmassy christmas special ever the plot doesn't sound it. maybe this will be an unseen adventure as the Doctor, rory and amy continue there journey's? Lu-igi board
- I don't think that this adventure is the christmas special. I think the special will be some time after that. The Thirteenth Doctor 12:33, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
I don't think this will be the Christmas special either and agree with 187.112.18.121 (lol) that it could be the doctor just bluffing, did the phone even ring (because I can't even remember it ringing). Could this be an unseen adventure or a nod to an adventure that will be released on audiobook/novel. The Christmas special is rumoured to be the most christmassy episode ever and to feature the yeti's (because newly concept art for its skeleton has been released) which sounds a bit right seeming if the yeti's are done right with snow it could be a good christmas episode. Any one know anymore information on the Christmas special or be it Series 6?? -- Michael Downey 14:43, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
Well obviously Amy was making a Wish to Santa at the start and we know that her wish came true so this Santa sounds like a mighty powerful being... Perhaps he's going to come to Earth and demand payback from Amy with his army of elves and toy-bots. Fully Christmassy. Jack Chilli 17:30, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
I thought he was teasing about/getting thier attention with the goddess-obelisk-orient-express thing, an exciting tale to remind them how great thier adventures have been, and to make sure they come with him again :)86.164.120.218 23:27, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
The Christmas Special is a flashback...http://www.torontosun.com/entertainment/movies/2010/06/27/14537491-wenn-story.html...so it may very well happen before the Pandorica Opens...and the actual adventure may or may not involve Rory...or maybe the story will have some parts that give us some hints on some special stuff that will happen in Series 6.203.168.176.42 11:30, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
- No it's not. That was a joke Steven said. He was joking with the fact that the universe ended in "The Pandorica Opens" so everyone will die and the rest of Doctor Who will have to be flashbacks. It wasn't literal. The Thirteenth Doctor 11:40, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
- oh sorry...the article just quoted that one sentence...didn't know when they interviewed him...203.168.176.42 12:33, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
I'm not too sure about the "it's just a teaser" theory... After all when the Titanic crashed into the TARDIS, it WAS the Christmas special to follow. Of course, it could have just been a bluff. /: DoctorHer 14:05, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Something just occurred to me, though this is probably the wrong place to ask. Are Amy and Rory the Doctors first married companions ? (As in married to each other, not counting companions who are married to non-companions). And does the Tardis have a honeymoon suite :-P ? 187.59.127.248 18:27, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Okay so the Yeti's out of the picture for the Christmas special. The designer who designed the skeleton for it confirmed that the image was for the Doctor Who Dvd files magazine. I just don't get whether the statement that the doctor said could be the christmas special because Steven moffat said it was the most christmassy episode ever and an Egyptian goddess on the orient express in space doesn't sound christmassy at all to me. yeah I think this is the first married couple to travel in the tardis, that of being two companions who travel and not involving the doctor. There may be a reference to a honeymoon or (suite) in the Christmas special but life in the tardis is one big holiday/adventure anyway. -- Michael Downey 19:57, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
