handyIs it possible that riversong is either the Rani or Susan Foreman

Anyway, this has been discussed numerous times, both here and elsewhere. See Forum:Is River Song human? for an example. It's certainly possible. I personally don't think it's likely. For Susan, you're talking about incest, which is a theme most family shows steer far clear of. For the Rani, you'd have to imagine the Rani being able to pretend to be anyone less amazing than her own self-conception, which I have a hard time doing.
Also, there's really no reason to believe that any past character, Time Lord or otherwise, would be brought back that way--whenever the Master comes back in disguise, he's always revealed in the very same story he's introduced in, and no other character has ever come back in disguise in the history of the show. Sarah Jane didn't come back disguised as Rose, Rassilon didn't come back disguised as Wilf, etc. If Susan comes back, I think she'll come back as Susan, not as someone else we get to know for three years as a different character. --Falcotron 11:35, May 18, 2010 (UTC)
The Rani is never coming back, KTHXBI. We hear that rubbish every year. And River Song is just a very special human, that's all. Don't get your hopes up like... *cough* donnaisromana *cough*. Delton Menace 15:51, May 18, 2010 (UTC)
So, River is Amy who is Donna who is Rose who is the Rani who is Susan Foreman who is Martha who is Romana who is the Master who is The Doctor from a different reality. That's my theory for series , anyway. -- Dragonfree 19:57, May 18, 2010 (UTC)
Well, remember that the Moff isn't going to be writing this show forever. Maybe the show-runner who takes over from his successor in the middle of the 13th Doctor's run in 2020 will be one of the fanboys today who are desperately seeking Susan and the Rani, and he'll bring back every RTD and SM character and make all of them secret Time Lords in disguise. Donna is Romana, River is the Rani, Amy is Susan, Martha is Pandora, Jack is Drax, Rory is the Meddling Monk, Adam is Andred, and of course Rose is Pythia. And they all get together every Sunday for tea and laugh at the Doctor spending 15 years thinking he was the "last of the Time Lords." --Falcotron 20:57, May 20, 2010 (UTC)
