Hugo was a primordial class vampire kept as a pet by Friar Grystok.
During an attack on a shadow planetoid, Hugo abducted Rose Tyler and brought her to Grystok on a coffin ship. Grystok thanked him for his find.
When Gallifreyan forces began attacking the coffin ship, Hugo flew out and started destroying their ships, but he was killed by a thoracite arrow fired from Captain Drusa's bowship. (COMIC: Monstrous Beauty)
