A hyperspatial fold was a fold in hyperspace which could make extreme ends of the universe become adjacent to each other. The planet Chaos was located in a hyperspatial fold, bringing the Atrions and the Teuthoidians into contact and leading them to fight each other in their respective searches for the Chaos Pool.
