An Ice Warrior menaced the Seventh Doctor on a ravaged Earth that had almost been destroyed by competing factions of invaders. Two Daleks, as well as a Sontaran, Zygon, and two Sea Devils also threatened the Doctor. The Time Lord was forced to flee instead of standing to fight his enemies because Ace had informed him that Gary Russell was worried he was going to miss his deadline for a quote in his 200th issue.
