Il-Eruk was a bartender in a tavern that he owned in the Pierhaven area of Yendip, capitol of the planet Yquatine. On one Treaty Day, Arielle happened into his bar and ordered some Admiral's Old Antisocial beer. Because he didn't have any, she was freed to choose instead Anthaurk Ale. When she made some initially lukewarm comments about the beer, some Anthaurks who were in the bar threatened to fight, forcing Il-Eruk to act as peacekeeper. (PROSE: The Fall of Yquatine)
