In the Community was a Brief Encounter short story published in Doctor Who Magazine 195. It reveals the name and fate of the schoolgirl that the Renegade Daleks enslaved to exploit her imagination as their battle computer in the television story Remembrance of the Daleks.

London, over twenty-five years after the Shoreditch Incident of 1963. A broken woman named Judith Winters is living in a mental institution, where she is visited by Ace, the only person on Earth who knows that Judith was enslaved to a Dalek battle computer during the Shoreditch Incident. She feels somewhat responsible for Judith's condition, but eventually returns to the TARDIS after bidding farewell.
