An insurgent was one of the freedom fighters on Earth during the Daleks' 22nd century invasion and occupation of Earth.

The insurgent told Barbara Wright that it was dangerous to stay in the area where they were, and led her to safety across the ruins of London to the resistance base in an empty London Underground station, where Susan Foreman had already been taken by Carl Tyler. (TV: The Dalek Invasion of Earth)

- Robert Aldous was a late addition to the cast and so was uncredited on-screen for "World's End", despite having dialogue. He was billed as "An Insurgent" in Radio Times, however.
