The J. Grubb General Store was a business in Stockbridge run by Grubb.

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

The J. Grubb General Store was on the intersection of two main roads, in clear view of St Justinian's. (COMIC: The Stockbridge Child)

In the 1970s, when Stockbridge was invaded by robots from an alternate dimension, the Fourth Doctor landed his TARDIS outside the general store with the purpose of stocking up on provisions.

He attempted to buy some jelly babies with a Zaggan pound note, but was prevented from doing so when one of General Ironicus' robotic Iron Legion noticed three heartbeats coming from the store. It crashed through the store's window and killed "Old" Grubb, the shopkeeper. The robot identified a double heartbeat with its sonar but only saw one "human" with its infrared vision. This contradiction caused it to malfunction. (COMIC: Doctor Who and the Iron Legion)

The Tenth Doctor landed his TARDIS outside the J. Grubb General Store when he visited the village with Majenta Pryce in mid-December 2008. At this point in time, the store's sign was slightly worn. (COMIC: The Stockbridge Child)
