Jacksonville was a city in the American state of Kentucky. In the city was the Montrose Hill State Penitentiary, where Oswald Danes was a long-term resident prior to his execution by lethal injection. A large crowd of angry Americans gathered outside the prison when Danes, resurrected on "Miracle Day", was paroled by the Governor in 2011.
