James Campling was an employee of Ashley Chapel Logistics. He was working on the Millennium Codex. Barry Brown stole a copy from Campling to find out more about it. Ashley Chapel believed Campling had allowed this to happen deliberately. He transformed Derek Peartree into a cybrid and had him kill Campling and try to scare Brown away from further investigation.
