Jamie McCrimmon's grandmother was a wise woman who was sought for advice by people from miles around. She told Jamie a lot of stories and tales about life which influenced his outlook on the world.
She died in the 1730s, before Jamie turned 10. The young Jamie visited his grandmother on her last day, against his grandfather's wishes, where they discussed the Phantom Piper myth and Jamie's life goal to become a piper. (AUDIO: The Phantom Piper)
