Jane Asta was an assessor for the Galactic Census Bureau for came with Pendle to investigate a mysterious signal. He forced Constance Clarke to cover up when they went to a monastery. She became frightened when she discovered that the signal came from a Dalek. She helped to stop the Daleks getting her ship's transmitter. She inhaled the essence of the Dream Flower and was overcome by the Daleks influence, but Constance managed to overcome it. (AUDIO: Order of the Daleks)
