Jerry Cruncher

Mr Cruncher was a character from A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens.

At one point in the book, a mob was breaking windows and plundering. Mr Cruncher chose not to partake in the violence, and instead remained in a churchyard - a place which had a soothing influence on him. He procured a pipe from a neighbouring public house and smoked it.

Pages featuring Mr Cruncher appeared on Toshiko Sato's computer, after she transferred the data from copy of the physical book using an alien data scanner. (TV: Everything Changes)
