Jetmobile
The jetmobile was a mode of transportation favoured by the World Space Patrol. They were often utilised to travel over inhospitable terrain due to their ability to hover a small distance above the ground.

In January 2065, the crew of Fireball XL5 used jetmobiles to explore the asteroid in hyperspace where the Batmen had landed, anticipating their search would be a long one. Venus dismounted her jetmobile in order to investigate a glint of metal buried in the dust, precipitating her capture by the Batmen. Steve Zodiac and Professor Matic pursued Venus and the Batmen into a cavern. Mat warned Steve to slow down, correctly anticipating that they could be heading for a trap, but Steve told him they had to take that chance. Steve and Mat were soon dragged from their jetmobiles and presented before the leader of the Batmen, who threatened to drop Venus into a deadly lake which "crush-freeze[d]" if Steve did not surrender Fireball to the Batmen. The leader ordered Valeen to lower one of the jetmobiles into the liquid to demonstrate the effectiveness of the substance, which convinced Steve to relinquish control of Fireball and save Venus's life.
