Mrs Grant (née Canning) was Jo Grant's mother.

The future Mrs Grant met Terry Grant when she was the bookkeeper for an art retreat at a church in Scotland. When she confronted him, she offered not to tell anyone if he took her to dinner. Terry tried to offer her a painting instead, but in the end she got both and they were married a short time later. (AUDIO: Still Life)
