Joanna Piros played Joanna, a KKBE news anchor, in the 1996 Doctor Who TV movie.
Along with her co-star Mi-Jung Lee, Piros was an actual journalist and news anchor performing in cameo as a nod to her real-world career. Piros has cameoed as news anchors in many other productions, and now works in the communications and public-speaking fields.
