Joanna Slade was part of the Windermere crew, which contacted Axos in the middle of the 21st century. She feared extreme ageing by going through the timefields around Axos, so she topped her pension before leaving. She stopped the Sixth Doctor from rescuing Evelyn Smythe when she drifted into space.
